Brain Scans

For participants

The SINN institute continues research studies to learn more about natural neurostimulation in chronic pain management. We want to understand better what is happening in the brain during natural neurostimulation treatment. Our ongoing research has already contributed to the knowledge of treating patients in various conditions. Therefore, we seek participants who will devote their time and energy to our study. Anyone with symptoms of chronic pain can take part in our research.

Many of our research projects would have been impossible without the help of volunteers.

If you want to participate, please read the information we provide here. We describe general information about being a research participant in the SINN innovative training course, as well as the equipment we typically use online.

How to sign up?

To sign up for a study, you are asked to fill in a prescreen form. Then we will book an appointment with you. You will receive a email from the researcher 24 h before the innovative training course, with more relevant information material. Please read it carefully to ensure you can give an informed consent.

Withdrawal information
You must understand that even after you agree to participate and sign the consent form, you have the right to withdraw from the innovative training course without giving a reason. You will not face any negative consequences or disadvantages due to your withdrawal, and you will still receive the agreed remuneration for your time involvement.
If you wish to withdraw from the study before it begins, please e-mail our staff, whose contact will be given in the recruitment material. If you wish to withdraw from an ongoing innovative training course, a verbal request to the instructor presented in the videoconference is sufficient. After your participation in the innovative training course is concluded, it is still possible to delete your collected data until it has been used in a published resource (conference paper, journal article etc.).
